InsightBuilder® 2 has evolved substantially from its beginnings in 1999 as a simple database-driven publishing tool. - New InsightBuilder site launched (www.insightbuilder.net), demonstrating InsigthBuilder in use as well as providing online support for existing customers
- Fully featured, tested InsightBuilder 2 completed;
- Planning begins for mid-version updates (release due early 2003).

- InsightBuilder 2 deployed to the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville (www.unitedwaynashville.org) configured to deploy from within a firewall-protected LAN to a remote hosting server

- InsightBuilder 2 deployed to the Miller Center at the University of Virginia at www.americanpresidents.org with advanced Flash template management; with over 10,000 individual pages and a team of content contributors, this site demonstrates InsightBuilder's scalability.

- First InsightBuilder 1 client, inSilicon, deploys its web site; the site featured online an online product catalogue integrated with a secure product download system, community features such as a message board, and integration with existing legacy web software owned by inSilicon.

- Polar Design completes development of InsightBuilder 1, utilizing Java technology at the core.

- Polar Design identifies new opportunities in publishing technology based on XML and XSLT technologies, and create initial Java prototypes based on the predecessor "Publicator."

- Polar Design and Meta agree to merge, adding a European sales presence as well as full-time multimedia and design team capable of advising content management customer on multimedia template authoring.

- Polar Design complete APlusStudent.com (www.aplusstudent.com) the first major web site and education portal powered by "Publicator."

- Polar Design completes development of InsightBuilder's precursor, "Publicator," a Windows NT compatible server-side ActiveX component designed to simplify content publication from a SQL 7.0 database.
