Content may go through a number of iterations until it is polished and ready for publication.  Other times, content must be changed when some of the underlying facts in an article or page become outdated.

In any case, organizations need to track and store past versions of document for a variety of needs, including editing errors.  For this reason, InsightBuilder® 2 (IB2) offers version control, which allows users to create new “versions” of documents while saving prior versions.

This feature includes a “roll-back” feature that allows users to revert back to previous versions of the same document as well.

With version control, it is possible to create snapshots of individual documents, or entire web sites and Intranets, and to revert to those past documents with a few clicks.
